The Cape Francolin Art Hotel is a site specific, mixed-media, conceptual art installation. Simultaneously it is a comfortable guesthouse offering crispy Irish linen sheets, fragranced olive oil soap and freshly baked walnut and fig bread with tasty breakfasts.
It is also a gallery, a shop, a performance and workshop space, periodically a restaurant, and … whatever else our imaginations require it to be.

The Cape Francolin Art Hotel is dedicated to
Joseph Beuys for his responsibility,
Paul Gauguin for his irresponsibility,
Wolfgang Tillmans for documenting quiet joy and avoiding the ‘rhetoric of the important’
Ernest Mancoba for reminding us that the spiritual realm floats always within and just beneath the thin membrane of the material world
And
to Louise Bourgeoise for emphatically proving that to Begin is not the province of the young.
